I hope you enjoyed getting a different view of history and perhaps getting to know some people (including me) a little better. Maybe you even discovered some new songs to enjoy!
You might be wondering why, or even how, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Janice Joplin, Bob Dylan, The Doors, Jackson Browne, Carly Simon, Bob Marley, Jimmi Hendrix, James Taylor, Eric Clapton, Queen, or any number of Motown artists, didn't make it into this collection, especially since during that period, they were titans among my peers. One reason I turned a deaf ear toward some of these artists is that I didn't like their voices: Roger, Janice, Bob. Grindy, gravely, grouchy. Another reason is if I didn't like or didn't respect a classmate, I tended not to like their music choices either.
Today, I listen to very little music from that time, so it was both nostalgic and pleasurable revisiting these songs -- and people.
It was also fantastic dabbling in the art of online publishing and ultimately teaching myself how to construct this website.
So, thank you for the gifts you were unknowingly giving me when you requested this playlist.
